Review
This is a quick review
IconCool Editor can create and edit icons for Windows XP in 32-bit color depth with an alpha channel. Now, you can easily create wonderful, semi-transparent XP icons. IconCool Editor can extract icons from EXE, DLL, ICL and other files, and send the extracted icons to the edit area, then save them back. IconCool Editor can edit 10 icons at the same time.
IconCool Editor has begun to support the next generation OS Window Vista from now on. You can create and edit Vista icons which includes the compressed 256x256 images easily.
The following full-length review applies to version 5.6
With IconCool Editor we can create icons and transform them easily with this program because is very intuitive for handle.
When we open the program we can find a Menu Bar, one toolbar, a left and right panel and one in the bottom of the window where we can handle our creations.
We can open Icons that come with the program, we can import from files and load all icons listed. We can add the grid, select the background color or picture and handle the zooming.
We can handle the different tools like selection, pencil, paint bucket, line, rectangle and more. The program lets us add different effects like shift (left, right, up or down), rotate, flip, reflect, handle the gradients options, add text and more.
Also the program lets us add filters to our icons (color, outline, distort, stylize, buttonize and other), can select the favorite color, use windows XP sample colors, get favorite colors from file and change the color depth.
The program also lets us move our icon image, handle the color channel, the alpha channel and the composite channel.
With this program is very easy create icons and cursors because the program has an amazing interface that make all more easier for the users. |
